Billing & Fees

Using Insurance

Big Sky Counseling works with several insurance plans, and coverage depends on your individual policy. Even when we are able to submit claims to your insurance company, your plan may have limitations, exclusions, deductibles, copays, or coinsurance that affect what you owe.

It is every client’s responsibility to know and understand the terms of their individual plan before beginning services.

Big Sky Counseling does not conduct insurance checks or interpret policy language.

Big Sky Counseling currently accepts the following insurance:

BCBS

Blue Focus

TriCare (limited providers)

Allegiance

Cigna

Mountain Health Co-op

Pacific Source (limited providers)

Curative

Coastal Administrative Services

We do not accept Medicaid or Medicare.

Our Commitment to Billing Transparency

We believe you deserve clear information about the cost of services and any potential financial responsibility. In accordance with the Federal No Surprises Act please see our fee schedule below. These fees apply to private pay clients who are not using insurance benefits.

Intake Session $200

Standard 55min Session $175

Standard 40min Session $150

Standard 30min Session $100

If you are not using insurance benefits you may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling a service or at any time you are eligible to receive one. A Good Faith Estimate is an estimate of expected charges, not a final bill or a guarantee of the total cost of care.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate from a provider or facility covered by the law, you may have the right to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.

Out of Network Billing Options

If you choose to pay for services out of pocket and wish to seek reimbursement from your out-of-network insurance company, we will provide a superbill for each session. A superbill is a detailed receipt that includes information about the services you received and can be submitted to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Payment is due in full at the time of service. We do not submit claims directly to your insurance company when you choose this option. Instead, you will receive a paid invoice and a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for consideration. These documents are shared through the client portal, so check your email often!

Reimbursement is determined by your insurance plan, and we cannot guarantee that your insurance company will reimburse you for any portion of the cost. We encourage you to contact your insurance company before beginning services to understand your out-of-network benefits and any requirements for reimbursement.
